Our Standard plumbing fixtures are made by Kolher. The Coralais style single handle lav faucet is standard for all bathroom sinks. The kitchen sink faucet is a three-hole kitchen sink faucet with 8-1/2″ spout and lever handle are standard for the kitchen.

Our shower system faucet is Coralais style Rite-Temp® bath and shower valve trim with lever handle, NPT spout and 2.5 GPM showerhead.

Our Standard toilet is the Gerber Maxwell style with a soft close lid.

Our supplier is The Ensuite Kitchen and Bath Showroom in London. We may visit the showroom during the selection process to see other upgrade options.

Our standard fireplace that we have chosen is the Continental CB36 and it comes from Cam’s Heating and Cooling.

The Continental CB36 is a gas fireplace with real looking flames and logs. It does not include a remote, just a switch on the wall. You can control the fan on the unit itself. There are other options for the log set and for a trim around the fireplace. These options would be an upgrade. Our fireplaces also come with a painted MDF mantle and tile around the fireplace. Once you meet with the decorator, she will show you exactly what that looks like.

Our supplier for bricks and stone is Ferrel Brick and Stone on Colonel Talbot Line heading towards Lambeth. Brampton Brick is our standard brick option.

When starting the selections for your house we always start with the exterior. Having an idea of what you would like the exterior of your house to look like is very important and helpful.

Arriscraft brick is also a great option but is a slight upgrade

Our Cabinets come from GCW here in St. Thomas. The standard upper cabinets are 30” plus a crown and a lighting skirt. Lower cabinets are always 36” tall and have a top slab draw and two-door cabinet below. When you are in the selection process, you will work with Jen Gilmore and me at GCW in St. Thomas and we will work together with you to help design your kitchen to accommodate your needs and wants. We are custom so you can do whatever the space will allow you to do. Some common upgrades our clients like to do are extend the cabinets to the ceiling. You can add glass to the upper cabinets as well as lights if you would like. For the lower cabinets, you can add banks for drawers throughout. These banks of drawers are great for pots and pans or Tupperware. You can honestly use them for whatever you would like, they are so useful. One bank of drawers included 3 drawers altogether, one short one and two pot and pan drawers below. You can upgrade to add a garbage pull out, add baseboard to the island, and have soft closing drawers and doors. The ideas of things you can add to your kitchen can be limitless.

Our standard kitchen sink is a stainless still sink with the Kolher Coralais kitchen sink faucet. This is an option upgrade and it is the Delta Essa pull down faucet. We get all our faucets and bathroom fixtures from The Ensuite Kitchen and Bath Show Room in London on Leathorn St.

We try to use all local suppliers and trades. Some are: Elgin Carpet One and Great Floors Ingersoll for flooring and GCW for cabinetry. All of our trim, doors and hardware comes from North Pole trim in London. Our local plumber gets his suppliers from EMCO in London. As for Lighting, we highly suggest you get the lights from The Lighting Shoppe. They provide great service and warranty as well as a great 20% discount.

At MP Custom Homes we included laminate on the main floor including the kitchen, great room and dining area. Ceramic tile in the foyer, bathrooms and mudroom is also include for the main levels. The basement bathroom includes vinyl flooring. Carpet in standard for bedrooms and stairs as well as the basements.

We recommend appliance shopping as soon as possible. It is a hard decision to make whether you want wall ovens or a freestanding range, a microwave range hood or a chimney style or even a vent-a-hood with decorative millwork around it from GCW. What size fridge do you want as well and how deep is it. These are very important keys to helping us design your kitchen. We try to have our clients stick with London Major Appliances and talk to Aaron Bayor or Goemans and talk to Emil.

Our carpentry supplier is North Pole Trim and they supply Jeld Wen interior doors. There are 9 standard options for interior doors and 4 upgrade options that are within reason.

As for trim, our standard is the colonial or step detail style that’s 2 ¾” for casing and 4 ¼” for baseboard, however there are many other options for baseboard. Some of the flat style trims are a little extra to install because of the fine finishing detail of it.

Some customers ask about supplying their own sink faucets. We strongly recommend our clients getting them through us and our plumber so that there is a warranty on the product and installation. If something were to happen, like a leak it would not be covered if you supply your own faucet. You can not supply your own shower faucets or tub faucets however. You must purchase those through our supplier.

As for flooring, our clients have to use one of our suppliers as well. We did not employ anyone that will install flooring, we use our trades Elgin Carpet One or Great Floor Ingersol to provide and install the flooring.

Regarding cabinetry, you must use one of our suppliers for this as well. GCW or Casey’s Creative Kitchens are our only suppliers. MP does not employ a cabinet installer. Some clients have wanted to use an old dresser or something unique for a vanity, we can not install that, therefore our plumbing can not finish his installation of a sink and faucet.
